Storm Team 4 Meteorologist, Violeta Yas, met with third graders from Cantiague Elementary School, in Jericho, NY, to finish up the Weather Kids school year. The students learned about hurricanes, tornadoes and how to stay safe in summer weather.

NBC 4 New York Meteorologist, Violeta Yas, met with second graders in the Bronx at PS 1X The Courtlandt School. The students learned about thunderstorms, types of clouds and what its like to be a TV meteorologist.

Storm Team 4 Meteorologist, Maria LaRosa, visited Walter Stillman Elementary School in Tenafly, NJ. The second grade students learned all about hurricanes, tornadoes and different types of clouds.

Storm Team 4 Meteorologist, Violeta Yas, and Telemundo 47’s Chief Meteorologist, Andrea Romero, met with first and second graders at PS 30X Wilton in the Bronx. The students enjoyed learning about the different kinds of clouds and when you see them in the sky.

Storm Team 4 Meteorologist, Violeta Yas, met with third graders from her hometown of Garfield, NJ. The students at James Madison School learned about high and low pressure systems, hurricanes and what it is like to be a television meteorologist.

Storm Team 4 Meteorologist, Matt Brickman, visited PS 20 Anna Silver School on the Lower East Side. The large group of kindergartners and first graders learned about different types of clouds and why thunder is so loud.

NBC 4 New York’s Chief Meteorologist, Janice Huff, met with over 100 second graders at Woodland Elementary School to teach a Weather Kids lesson. The students learned about the upcoming hurricane season and different types of clouds.

Storm Team 4 Meteorologist, Matt Brickman, and Telemundo 47’s Chief Meteorologist, Andrea Romero, brought weather Kids to Valley Cottage Elementary School in Rockland County. The third graders learned about storms, types of clouds and what it’s it is like to be a television meteorologist.

Weather Kids and Niños Del Tiempo stopped by Public School 16 in Paterson, NJ for a bilingual weather session. NBC 4 New York Meteorologist, Raphael Miranda, and Telemundo 47 Chief Meteorologist, Andrea Romero, met with fifth and sixth graders to talk about upcoming spring and summer weather.

Storm Team 4 Meteorologist, Raphael Miranda, met with second and third graders from PS 390 Queens The Civic School of Bayside Hills. The students learned about thunder, lighting and different types of clouds during the Weather Kids session.

Storm Team 4 Chief Meteorologist, Janice Huff, took Weather Kids to Eastlake School in Parsippany, NJ where she spoke with the fifth grade about weather forecasting and the science of weather.

Storm Team 4 Meteorologist, Matt Brickman, made a school visit to Midwood Catholic Academy in Brooklyn, NY. The 3rd, 4th and 5th graders learned about snowflake shapes, different types of clouds and more.

NBC 4 New York Meteorologist, Raphael Miranda, and Telemundo 47 Chief Meteorologist, Andrea Romero, met with third graders for a duopoly Weather Kids/Niños Del Tiempo session. Students learned about types of snowflakes, clouds and how meteorologists forecast weather.

Storm Team 4 Meteorologist, Matt Brickman, met with fourth graders from PS 54 in Staten Island. The students learned about climate change, hurricanes and types of clouds.

NBC 4 New York’s Raphael Miranda and Telemundo 47’s Andrea Romero kicked off a new school year of Weather Kids lessons at PS 191 in Floral Park, Queens.
